Head Of Marketing (Central Belt Scotland)
Talent Focus Executive Search has been retained to identify a high calibre Head of Marketing for a high profile B2C business with operations across the UK and Europe. Based in the Central Belt of Scotland with travel as required. Role Outputs Recognised as the communication expert amongst peers and leads the formulation of key business messaging and communication from executive leadership, internally and externally. Apply strong grasp of best practice in “core” relevant areas of Marketing e.g. customer analysis and retention; segmentation; pricing; advertising and promotion; forecasting demand; distribution; product development and brand management. Develop deep consumer understanding and understanding of how the business is perceived externally. Act as the catalyst for ambitious and creative thinking about how products and services can be developed to meet the needs of the customer, based on customer insight and value creation. Balance the long-term, strategic agenda with short-term tactical manoeuvring, through astute judgement about setting priorities and allocating resources. Apply shrewd commercial judgement about what it will take to determine opportunities to deliver value to the customer profitably. Stay ahead of the competition by exploring, inventing and adopting new communication and distribution channels, marketing techniques and practices. Use sophisticated business acumen to define the added value and ROI of commercial strategies/marketing initiatives, which can be tracked and measured across a range of routes to market. Lead and develop the Marketing function to meet current and future challenges. Articulates a compelling vision for the function, its purpose and contribution to the success of the business and the journey to get there. What You Will Bring A credible and highly respected Marketing professional with experience of working in large companies with B2C marketing activity across all channels with particular expertise in digital marketing. Comfortable, and in fact excels, when working in fast paced, innovative industries e.g. travel, hospitality, airlines, travel, retail and FMCG. A strong understanding of how consumers formulate their perceptions of businesses and their products / services and how these perceptions can be influenced both traditionally and through digital media. Deep understanding of the business’ markets, competition and the know and anticipated trends, which will determine the future.
