As our Senior Controls Engineer you will have a product specific focus for on-time delivery of new products within the company.

Working hours:

Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30

Friday: 08:00-13:30

Responsibilities of our Senior Controls Engineer will include:

- Designing and releasing of standard and locally procured products for projects

- Programming of internal and external devices including PLC’s, HMI’s, servo drives, and robots

- Understanding and applying customer’s electrical specifications / communication protocols

- Interacting with respect global design/controls teams.

- Performing acceptance testing of products and projects to industry standard techniques

- Understanding and applying existing configurations to address customer’s controls specifications.

- The use of EPLAN electrical P8 & pneumatic design and documentation of project may be required.

- Project/product Lead activities

- Report/ activity sign off

Skills and experience required by our Senior Controls Engineer:

- A high education and experience in Electrical/Software/Automation Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university course or minimum 3 years related experience and/or training

- Previous team management in an industrial environment required

- PLC programming languages [Structured Text, Ladder Logic, Function Block] especially within IEC (phone number removed) editor

- Aware of hardware components comprising industrial control systems and their IEC schematic utilization

- HMI design and implementation [WinCC Flexible, RSView, CoDeSys Visualization]

- Industrial fieldbus communication standards [ProfiNet, EtherNET/IP, DeviceNET, Modbus, IO-Link]

- Fluid power systems design and allocation [Pneumatic, Hydraulic – load and component selection]

- Robot programming experience preferred [Fanuc, Kawasaki, Janome, ABB, Kuka, etc]

- Able to contribute in a global engineering community, familiarity with other languages welcome

- Broad minded engineering manager with penchant for problem solving and decreasing waste

- Open to limited travel to local customers and global engineering centres

- Good management and organisational skills

- Ability to represent the company externally in a highly professional and credible manner

- Ability to Contribute/lead new product/project developments

- Lead small teams
