My client 11-18 secondary school found within Birmingham, requires a well qualified Chemistry Teacher to join their highly successful Science department where nearly all students sit the higher paper. You will also have the opportunity to teach at Post 16 level.

This is a full time and permanent position due to commence September 2019. The school welcomes applications from experienced Chemistry Teachers as well from NQTs who are keen to develop as outstanding teachers.

The school is currently undergoing exciting changes with plenty of opportunities for rapid promotion and responsibilities for the successful Chemistry Teachers.

In your role as the successful Chemistry Teacher, you will be joining a Science department who works as a close knit group, sharing resources and strategies across the year groups taught at the school. Science is a popular option at A-Level. The Science department's exam results are consistently high at both GCSE and at A-Level, their most recent results being 89% A*/A at GCSE and 93% A*/B at A-Level.

The successful Chemistry Teacher will be expected to teach Science through all the Key Stages, including Key Stage Five so you must be confident and assured in your teaching ability to teach up to A-Level Mathematics.

In your role as the successful Chemistry Teacher, you must be able to demonstrate a high quality of teaching along with excellent subject knowledge. You will be supported in every aspect of your role by the excellent Headteacher and Head of Science. As the appointed Chemistry Teacher you will have the chance to complete for excellent career progression and really develop your teaching skills.

As the successful Chemistry Teacher, you should be aware that the school have high academic standards and are seeking an outstanding Chemistry Teacher to maintain this level of learning.

Today the school is one of the most successful 11-18 mixed schools in the country. In 2010 the school was the in the top 10% of non-selective schools in Birmingham for pupils achieving 5+ A*- C grades at GCSE including English and Mathematics. Judged as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2012, with 92% of students achieved 5 A*-C GCSE grades with 73% achieving 5 A*-C GCSE passes with English and Maths.
