This is an exciting opportunity to join our vehicle preparation and logistics team which is responsible for the high quality and timely preparation of over 4,000 new and used vehicles per year. Based at the company's newly refurbished modern Preparation and Logistics Centre in Earls Barton, Northampton, the facility houses a mechanical workshop team, cosmetic repair team, sub-contracted valeting operation and administrative and support team. This is a key support role in ensuring that our new and used vehicles are prepared to the highest standards, and stored carefully for 'just in time' delivery from the Company's Retail Centre at Bedford Road, Northampton. Our Vehicle Preparation Assistant will liaise with our Sales Managers, Administration team and vehicle prep team, as well as the sub-contract body repair and valeting operations which support our organisation and will be responsible for: Assisting the Preparation Co-ordinators with all used car photography, ensuring images are taken to the highest standards Quality checking of prepared used vehicles Loading keys on to companies key tracking system Keeping all vehicle batteries charged and battery log up to date Checking in new and used stock vehicles on delivery Working in partnership with our Parts Team, ensuring smooth, timely and accurate processing of Parts orders Taking telephone enquiries from various departments ensuring queries are dealt with professionally and efficiently. Great communication skills are essential, as is a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multi-task. Accuracy and the ability to master different computer systems is also a key requirement of the role. Full training will be provided. The hours for the role are Monday - Friday, between and Vehicle Preparation Assistant | Service | Administration | Prep Centre Essential Skills The role requires strong organisation and communication skills, and a passion for the motor industry. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the ability to work well in a team, helping us to meet the highest standards, as efficiently as possible. You must have a basic knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. Other training on the specific functionality of the vehicle service systems will be provided, as well as training centred on the brand values and image of our manufacturer partners, BMW and MINI. Desirable Skills Previous experience in a vehicle service and/or vehicle preparation / logistics environment would be advantageous.
