KYC Input & Research Assistant

Contract Type: Full time – Permanent

Our Client, BDO - an international network of public accounting, is looking to recruit a KYC Input & Research Assistant to join the KYC Input & Research Hub based in Liverpool. This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will:
• Learn about the services provided by an accountancy firm, the risks associated with those activities and how the firm manages those risks.
• Get involved in the administration of the firm’s Know Your Customer (‘KYC’) and anti-money laundering (‘AML’) management systems.
• Deal with internal queries

• Setting up all new client on boarding requests into the firm’s bespoke AML system, carrying out the necessary research and ensuring that the principals of KYC and Client Due Diligence (‘CDD’) are applied to every case.

• Working collaboratively with the client facing teams, advising them of any deficiencies that need to be addressed before CDD can be considered complete.

• Managing the workflow and carrying out Quality Assurance checking of the junior team members’ work.

• Dealing with queries from client teams and KYC Input & Research hub team members on the firm’s KYC Guidance and how this should be applied in particular situations.

• Undertake some line management responsibilities for the junior members of the team.

• Knowledge and experience of the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations and KYC processes.
• IT skills - strong working knowledge of MS Office including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet research.
• Well presented with a professional level of communication – both verbal and written.
• Good time management, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise
• Ability to use own initiative and take a flexible approach.
• Good telephone manner
