Cathedral Appointments are currently looking for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer with extensive Product Design experience to join a well-established manufacturing/engineering business based near Tiverton, Devon.The Electronics Design Engineer will be creating, analysing and developing new products across a wide variety of market sectors and technologies. Other job responsibilities will include:

* Working with R&D engineers and CEM’s to progress concepts and prototypes to full manufacture.

* Development, verification and qualification of electronic designs in accordance with relevant standards through external certification and testing where appropriate.

* Design and fabrication of test equipment for product development, testing and manufacture.

* Design for manufacture including Production Process Failure Mode and Effects analysis (PFMEA).

* Investigating field and production issues, implementing any necessary changes.

* Involvement in developing and continuously improving Quality Management Systems.

* Continuous improvement of existing products.

It is essential that the Electronics Design Engineer is qualified to degree level in electronics engineering or closely-related discipline with appropriate industry experience. Other required experience includes:

* Proven track record in successful product design and development in multi-skilled environment

* Experience of design for manufacture and assembly

* Excellent communication, report writing and interpersonal skills

* Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced engineering environment

* High voltage electronic design experience

Due to the location of the role, it is essential that you have access to your own vehicle.
