Senior Transport Planner and Associate Level Transport Planner

Hertfordshire

£35,000 to £55,000 + package DOE

Our client are a fast growing consultancy based in Hertfordshire.

Their transport team work on varied projects across several sectors.

Clients include the Woodlands Trust and English Heritage, as well as more traditional house builders and developers.

They have a good reputation amongst architects and developers with a good flow of work coming from repeat clients and recommendations.

There is currently a number of positions available for Senior to Associate level Transport Planners who may be looking to escape the business of London and work in a more relaxed environment where work-life balance is key and hours can be flexible.

As an experienced Transport Planner your responsibilities include:

• Preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and other technical reports to an

excellent standard

• Managing a range of varied projects both technically and financially

• Liaising with and attending client, team and local authority meetings

• Undertaking transport capacity modelling using industry standard software: ARCADY,

PICADY and LinSig

• Work on written representations and depending on grade also appearing where required

at informal hearings and planning appeals

• Preliminary highways and junction layout designs, master planning input to

development layouts considering parking, refuse and servicing.

• Delegating work and managing many projects at any one time

• Mentoring and training of junior team members

In order to be successful you will need to be degree educated in a relevant subject (or have equivalent level experience), together with appropriate experience in the industry within a relevant role.

You should have strong technical report writing skills (Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans) as well as strong client relationship skills.

Working hours can be flexible between 7am – 7pm to fit each individual’s personal life.

Home working options may also be available dependent on the candidate and role.
