Reed Finance are currently working exclusively with an SME specialist consultancy business based on the Western outskirts of Reading to recruit a permanent Financial Controller.

This company has been established for 6 years and is now continuing to accelerate a growth phrase which is backed up by the appointment of a new CEO 18 months ago.

As with all growth SME roles this position is hands on and manages a small team and will play a key role in the future direction of the business. Duties include –

• Preparation of annual and interim statutory Accounts and audit preparation
• Review of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of monthly Board finance report.
• Annual preparation of budget.
• Quarterly analysis of variances to budget.
• Management of a finance team of 2
• Close monitoring of cash flow / production of forecasts: Monthly forecasting of capex and working capital outflows. Approve all payments; authorise each payment run
• Company Secretary duties
• PLC Debenture responsibilities: Quarterly calculations and payment of interest to debenture holders
• Payroll & HMRC: Oversee, review and authorise payroll
• Liaison with HMRC: VAT returns, PAYE reconciliations & payments
