Requirements / Business Analyst (Automotive / Scientific / Engineering)


* Headline: This position would act as a conduit for gathering of specifications of user cases and requirements for the utilisation of automotive test instrumentation and devices.

* Location: Worcester

* Package:up to £50k DOE + Up to 4 days remote working + 5% Bonus + Private Health etc

* Ideal Candidate: Experienced BA who has significant Automotive / Scientific / Engineering experience, ideally able to specify the requirements for the integration of new instruments and devices into software platforms and products.

Company & Role Overview

I’ve spoken to the hiring manager and the requirement is for a Device Integration Requirements coordinator to provide:

* Specifications of user cases / requirements for the utilisation of automotive test instrumentation and devices.

* Co-ordination of requirements input from third-parties companies and end users

* Participation in the implementation and documentation reviews in an agile development process

The company is subsidiary of a larger parent organisation and this small hub is now being seen as the future of the company so a huge amount of investment is going in now so that they are well ahead of in their market and remain dominant. They have some great ideas of how to innovate, they have the ideas but they now need a strong team to help they make them a reality.

The company has been very successful and are in a considerable growth phase whereby they are almost doubling the size of the UK team – from 35 people to 60.

There would be a few week-long international paid trips to company sites – so someone who is comfortable with air travel and staying away for 1-2 week periods is essential.

Skills / experience:

The key skill is an understanding of test instrumentation and its application in an automotive R&D (research and development) environment although that would be ideal, at least some knowledge of automotive engineering, or a degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline is needed.

* Understanding and direct experience of test automation systems and automotive development testing in the following areas: engine; powertrain; vehicle. This could have been acquired be as part of an end user organisation or as a supplier of test solutions

* Experience and personal interest in information technology

* Competence with Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel

* Awareness of software technologies

* Fluency in written and spoken English

* Some awareness of agile software development practices would be useful

* Capability in other languages would be useful

* 4 days / week remote working post probation
