My client based in Gloucestershire are looking for an Accounts Assistant/Finance Technician to join their team on a PART TIME, TERM TIME basis. You will assist the Business Manager in providing support within the educational environment and assist with the processing of all relevant finance transactions. The successful candidate will also assist with the production of monthly, quarterly and annual reports plus reconciliation's and returns.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

* Receiving money directly, issuing receipt’s from the computerised till, recording the relevant information within the procedures.

* Produce orders, recording the delivery of such orders and entering invoices onto the system.

* Liaising with staff/suppliers on any queries relating to the order and invoices process.

* Producing a weekly ad hoc, BACS run obtaining all relevant authorisations and signatures as well as checking all financial statements reviewed from suppliers, detailing outstanding invoices, to ensure correct receipt and payment.

* To issue reimbursements to staff for expenditure incurred.

* Act as a point of contact for all telephone calls requesting to speak to the finance office.

* To work in conjunction with trip organisers on all financial aspects of a trip activity including cost projections, listings of payments received and made, a final profit and loss account and issuing a refund as appropriate.

* Input financial transactions including daily receipts and journals as well as all other financial transactions such as payments, maintain the cash book and producing a bank reconciliation.

* Produce all monthly reports including VAT return, monthly transaction reports and monthly reports.

* To assist with all aspects of the financial year end, and budgeting process, as required.

The successful individual will be able to work part of a team and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role. You must have good working knowledge in using computerised finance systems and financial controls as well as being competent in using Microsoft Excel. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to maintain excellent relationships with members of staff and students as well as the ability to keep calm in any situations.

Hours are 30 hours across 5 days a week

Salary: £18'394 pro rata
