Outstanding Wirral Secondary School looking for a Teaching Assistant until the end of the academic year
Your new company
Hays Education are recruiting a SEND Secondary Teaching Assistants to work within a mainstream mixed ability school on the Wirral. There is the option of both short term and long term work depending on your preferences and availability. You will be registering with a team of specialist consultants, 22 of whom work in partnership with a range of schools across the North West and particularly with the school in question.
Your new role The role is to support a year 9 pupil with ASD with their learning, interaction and development within the classroom and help to prepare them as much as possible for their GCSE years. Why Hays
You will be given the opportunity, once fully cleared to DfE guidelines, of working within a range of Hays partnership SEND schools across Wirral. This will enable you to build up your knowledge and experience, as well as meet a variety of different leadership contacts and help to support a range of needs. Permanent positions are available within our school and these can be discussed once the clearance process has been complete.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have at least 6 months working within a school environment in the last 2 years, and experience of supporting children with SEND. You should be a hardworking and reliable teaching Assistant, willing to complete the supporting role as required. You should be excellent with time keeping and punctuality, as well as being able to go into new settings and teach and assist different children with a variety of additional needs. You should hold a current DBS, preferably registered on the update service, or be willing to get a DBS processed by Hays.
