Salary Range: £25,536 - £30,380 - Depending on experience (Pro Rata)

Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Training Centre Team Leader, the job holder is responsible for the effective delivery of training needs across the business.
Dimensions:
Responsible for the co-ordination and scheduling of technical training for all UK Power Networks staff and contractors.
Ensure that the demand for training is met within the parameters of the training budget
Principal Accountabilities:
• Ensure training is delivered in accordance with the technical and non technical training plan and that all training requests have received the necessary approval.
• Communicate with employees, managers and training providers on all training issues including providing advice and guidance as to which course is best suited to their needs.
• Working with managers and supervisors to identify relevant courses and training to enable them to ensure that their staff are competent to carry out their roles
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of training course information within the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Provide managers with guidance, training and support in the use of the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Ensure that safety training throughout the business is both relevant and timely enabling staff within the business to work in a Stay Safe culture.
• Develop strong relationships to build first a first class reputation with all key stakeholders including all staff, contractors and external providers.
Nature & Scope:
The Training Centre Team is part of the Human Resources Directorate. The Head of Technical Training is responsible for the delivery of all technical training for the business.
The Training Co-ordination team are responsible for arranging training for the entire business and specific training for contractors and other parts of UK Power Networks.
Skills/Qualifications and Experience:
1. Must hold, or be prepared to work towards, people development qualifications - e.g. CIPD.
2. Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and written skills, with relevant experience of dealing with business managers and third parties.
3. Be able to negotiate, influence and mediate with managers and staff at all levels
4. Ability to build relationships, to listen, be attentive to detailed information and translate it into viable, pragmatic solutions.
5. Good interpersonal skills, displaying confidence and professionalism.
6. Demonstrate organisational, multi tasking and time management skills.
7. Demonstrate sound judgement and business awareness.
8. High energy and personal drive, able to create impact and influence.
9. Be flexible and be ready to adapt to ever-changing demands.
10. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and LMS.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
