We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer interested in a fast paced, challenging and varied role, to develop the manufacturing processes for our e-drive products. This includes being part of our new Flexible Manufacturing Facility which is due to build some prestigious products for some very well-known vehicles.

Our Senior Manufacturing Engineer will:

- Identify end to end process flow, key steps and inspection points for low to medium volume manufacture

- Develop and implement best-in-class processes for assembly methods and determine the most appropriate for each programme

- Support make vs. buy decisions, working with suppliers to ensure their processes can support our manufacturing needs

- Use appropriate tools such as VA/VE to contribute to the continual improvement of manufacturing costs and capacity

- Work with the design team, communicating preferred manufacturing processes, systems, equipment and suppliers to ensure capable and consistent design for manufacture

- Input into commercial quotations and cost development for equipment / investment, cycle times, manning, process balance, material cash-flow and overheads

- Develop a user-friendly manufacturing records system allowing manufacturing data for built assemblies and sub-assemblies to be easily collated, retrieved and interrogated

About You:

- Ideally degree qualified in an engineering related subject

- Strong Experience in a similar Manufacturing Engineer role within a precision engineering or manufacturing background

- Sound knowledge of Assembly processes, preferably Electro-Mechanical assemblies found in electric machinery or engines, rounded understanding of manufacturing and test equipment

- Proven track record of achieving cost effective and capable manufacturing solutions

- Some knowledge of CAD and process simulation systems

- Ability to communicate with and influence internal and external stakeholders

You may previously have worked as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer
