Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer

Department: Assembly

Overview:

The continuous improvement engineer will assist in contributing towards improving site efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques. Successful candidate will have to demonstrate leadership skills and success of improvement projects in a multi-process manufacturing environment with a brief to drive a change culture throughout the manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills, along with experience of change management.
- Engineering background and experience within a range of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem solver with the ability to identify and then complete improvement projects
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible
- Have the personal competences and ability to communicate with others in a professional and helpful manner, at all levels, in both verbal and written communication.
- A flexible, proactive, adaptable and a co-operative attitude to influence and drive the ``change`` culture required.
- Must have initiative and self-motivation and ability to deliver effective work and make sound decisions but must also know when to seek guidance and direction.
- Excellent IT skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work on own and be confident, well presented, well-spoken and professional at all times
- Knowledge of systems / processes that ensure decisions are data driven
- Exposure to Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Techniques, 5S, Waste Elimination, OEE, Standardisation, Kaizen etc.Required Education/Qualifications
- Minimum: HND / HNCDesirable Education/Qualifications
- Lean and/or Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) experience of process improvement
- Proficient using autocad
