With two offices based across Brentwood and London Liverpool Street, we are excited to have the opportunity for an experienced 2nd / 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our in-house IT support team.

As part of Athona’s IT support team, it will be necessary to uphold high levels of customer service, technical expertise and support to your fellow colleagues. You should be able to prioritise tasks while working closely with the IT Manager and being the go to person for Athona’s IT infrastructure changes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to gather more experience and to progress their IT career and technical skills.

Technical requirements:

* Broad understanding of networking technologies and principles

* VMWare Infrastructure (vCenter / ESXi)

* Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 onwards

* Active Directory / DFS / DHCP / DNS / TS / VPN / WDS / WSUS

* Exchange On-Premise

* Veeam Backup & Replication (or equivalent)

* Microsoft Windows 7&10, Office 2013 Onwards

* Laptop/Desktop role out, rebuilds, imaging, support

Preferable:

Athona welcome candidates that can bring additional skills to the role. Examples of extra skills could be:

* Microsoft SQL Server DBA/Scripting Experience

* Programming/Scripting Proficiency

* Mobile Device Management Solutions

* Remote Desktop Services/Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Experience

* Web Server Proficiency (Apache / IIS)

* Adobe Acrobat / Design Standard Creative Suite Knowledge / Exposure

* Mimecast Experience

* Telephony Experience

* Reverse Proxy / Load Balancer Experience

Soft Skills:

* Delivering results

* Organisation and prioritisation

* Proactive

* Time management and dealing with ambiguity
