My client has a yearly turnover of over 50 million that operates in the environmental industry, with a great reputation in the market, providing great progression opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of meeting deadlines and respond to priorities, can work effectively both on their own and in a team and will have the relevant accountancy experience, however not required.

Your responsibilities will include:
*Purchase Ledger - This includes
oAll monthly balance sheet recs associated with trade creditors, including issue resolution
oCover for the PL controller during absence
oAll PL statistical reporting
oProduction of the PL monthly scorecard
oLead escalations and resolution for internal process failures
oLead escalations and resolution for internal process failures
oEnsure process and procedures are clearly documented
oWork with the procurement team to ensure the most suitable P2P processes in place for our business requirements
*Sales Ledger - This includes:
oAll monthly balance sheet recs associated with trade debtors, including issue
oCo-ordination of debt collection and credit control processes working with the SL controller
oCover for the SL controller during absence
oManage the legal debt recovery
oEnsure high levels of customer service are met
oAll SL statistical reporting
oProduction of the SL monthly scorecard
oEnsure process and procedures are clearly documented

*General Ledger - Responsible for month cost accruals and prepayments
*Bank Rec:
oEnsure the bank is fully reconciled and all transactions posted within weekly deadlines and distributed to relevant team members
oComplete a weekly SL/PL cash forecast
*Assist with External and Internal Audits

Key skills:
*Able to demonstrate knowledge of sound financial working practices.
*A confident communicator both written and verbal at all levels.
*Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office products
*Understanding of financial controls and best practice processes
