Business Analyst (Convention Centre)

London, E16

An experienced Business Analyst is needed to join a world leading exhibitions and conference venue based near Canary Wharf and London City Airport. Working closely with the BI team you should expect to play a vital role in developing business intelligence capabilities for this outstanding venue.

Hosting over 300 events a year and welcoming over 4 million visitors, from every corner of the globe, this leading venue boasts fully flexible event halls, conference & exhibition space, a multitude of meeting rooms and the UK's largest flexible auditorium.

Directly reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the Business Analyst will be responsible for analysing data from disparate sources and model the data to support business intelligence. Whether you are helping to plan and implement a structure of Business Intelligence, use SQL and EDL tools to move and transform data from different systems, produce OLAP cubes for the consumption of BI tools or produce models for business systems, it will be your analytical approach coupled with excellent communication skills that will drive the business intelligence capabilities throughout the organisation.

You will also be familiar with different languages such as Transact/Postgres SQL and be proficient in the use of transformational tools for ETL processes and for presenting data in a variety of formats.

To qualify... You should be an experienced Business Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst / Data Transformation Consultant / Data Intelligence Analyst / Business Systems Analyst / Data Modeller or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar Business Analyst role looking at business intelligence resources;
  • You are an expert in interpreting information and communicating with stakeholders;
  • The ability to elicit and analyse requirements in line with an organisations objectives;
  • Some industry knowledge of exhibitions, venues, conferences, hospitality or similar would be an advantage;
  • Superb attention to detail;
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject.
