Senior Financial Accountant
Senior Financial Accountant Rosyth, Edinburgh About the role Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to join our Energy & Marine business unit You will ensure financial accounts for the business division are maintained and controlled in accordance with management requirements and standard accounting practices. This will include the consolidation of all monthly accounts, to produce monthly position for the entire division to be submitted to head office. You will also perform detailed financial analysis of the accounts, so that the business' performance can be communicated and understood by stakeholders. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of finance staff, including their workload, performance and development. Other duties will include cash control, ensuring cash-flow forecasts are produced and the cash position is controlled and reported on. Also, process improvement will be a big part of your role, assisting in the development of new procedures and systems to meet the changing requirements of the business. What do I need to do the role? We would like you to have experience in all or some of these areas: Be a qualified Accountant - ACCA / ACA / CIMA Have a background in financial accounting roles Sound knowledge of the latest financial regulations and accounting standards Have excellent communication skills with all levels in the hierarchy. Be proficient in using excel, with the ability to pick up new platforms quickly. What else do I need to know?
