Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development
NHS Highland is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional to join the NHS Highland Senior Leadership Team.
You will ensure the development of a capable, flexible and integrated workforce in NHS Highland providing strategic leadership to the Human Resources, Organisational Development & Occupational Health teams and expert professional advice to NHS Highland Board and senior officers.
You will champion the development of a positive person centred culture which exemplifies the values of NHS Scotland and NHS Highland and through the implementation of the NHS Staff Governance standard will engage all the workforce to deliver high quality compassionate care.
NHS Highland covers 40% of the land mass of Scotland, has a budget of c£800m and employs over 10,000 staff. NHS Highland is a fully integrated health and care system, with the groundbreaking Highland Health and Social Care Partnership, created in 2012, with NHS Highland acting as the Lead Agency for Adult Social Care and the Highland Council as the Lead Agency for Children’s Services. In Argyll and Bute we have an Integrated Joint Board that leads the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership, which includes all local acute, primary care and community services.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services/Deputy Chief Executive, you will support transformational change through the development and delivery of the NHS Highland People Strategy contributing to national, regional and shared services programmes as appropriate.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and be a Chartered member of CIPD, preferably a Fellow. You will have experience of working at senior level in highly complex organisation, ideally health and care related, and be passionate about delivering person centred care, through an authentic leadership leadership style.
