Field Service Engineer (North East ) covering post codes DL, DH, TS and YO 25k-£28k + bonus circa £30k pa
Time served Mechanically or Electrical and Full clean license
The role is to provide on-site service to the clients customers within Company policies, and to annual forecasts, so as to maximise profitability & growth within your designated service area.
To carry out service maintenance against scheduled calls, ensuring that the customer is aware of relevant ETA’s and that site booking-in processes are followed.
Maximise the percentage of repairs fixed first-time by ensuring adequate stock levels are held to reflect the machine portfolio. To affect temporary repairs where appropriate and safe to do so.
To attend unplanned breakdown calls in a timely manner to ensure that customer attendance SLA’s are met.
To maintain stock accuracy so as to minimise stock loss and discrepancies and to ensure company issued tools are in good order. This is to include interim stock counts being carried out between the annual stock check.
To attend formal training meetings as directed by your Service Manager and respond to and participate in these, as with field training, so as to continuously develop your abilities and performance.
To fully comply with Company health & safety rules and on-site requirements by customers, in order to ensure the safety of yourself and others during the course of your work. This may include the submission of personal information to obtain levels of clearance as required by customers, e.g. DBS check, Police Scotland check, Safety Passport, etc.
Completing assigned tasks as designated, maintaining a record of complete/incomplete jobs, the raising of quotes, sales leads, parts sales etc.
To complete all paperwork required including Repair Notes, Repair Sheets, Order forms, Contract Forms, User Records & Stock Records.
You will be required to work in accordance with the instructions and directions of your Service Manager, and this may involve working in other areas to assist colleagues with excess workloads or because of their absence through illness or holidays
