Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to work in Birkenhead on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge of Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.

The pay rate for this locum Occupational Therapist job is £25-£39 (LTD Company Equivalent) and is an initial 6-week contract.

The role will involve completing comprehensive assessments for patients with a wide variety of both physical and mental health conditions as well as complex social issues, implementing treatment plans and collaborative working with our experienced MDTs.

You will be expected to liaise and refer into wider health, social care and voluntary agencies, when appropriate, to ensure best possible outcomes are achieved for patients, their carers and families. You will attend regular MDT meetings to maximise patient centered care, ensure timely flow, prevent discharge delays and avoidable admissions to hospital and long-term care.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapies
- HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent post qualifying experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Community experience
- Must have a good understanding of risk management and moving and handling
