Company Accountant - Finance Manager

12 months Contract

To £38,000 plus benefits

The client is a well-established and successful medium sized business, operating as a B2C and B2B Service Provider. They are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to cover a period of maternity leave and who can manage the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis, and take responsibility for all processing of financial information.

Activities and responsibilities include:

  • Production of monthly accounts
  • Annual statutory accounts in conjunction with external Accountants
  • Purchase and Sales Ledgers
  • Daily cash accounting
  • VAT returns, including continental VAT claims and returns
  • Credit Control and expenses monitoring
  • Banking and Bank Reconciliations
  • Bookkeeping / record keeping
  • One off analysis and reporting
  • Utilising Sage accounting system and Excel reports
  • Ad hoc duties as required

We require a hands-on, practical and well organised candidate, with related experience of managing a broad range of finance / accountancy activities. Candidates may be qualified/part-qualified AAT, ACCA, CIMA, for instance, or possibly QBE. You will be IT literate and experienced with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, and will be familiar with fully computerised accounts systems, ideally SAGE Accounting. Office location will necessitate the need for your own transport.
