We are looking for an SEN KS3 & 4 Maths Teacher for an Education Centre/Pupil Referral Unit, including a Hospital Education Service, a Home Tuition Provision and an Outreach Inclusion Support Team.
- Age Range 5 – 16
- Ofsted rated as a ‘Good’ School
- Parking on site, and in a prime location for public transport links
- A supportive Headteacher, Staff and Management Committee

We wish to appoint an experienced and motivational SEN Maths Teacher with an outstanding record of implementing effective teaching & learning sessions and managing pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and ensuring good progress. You will be required to teach the mathematics to Years 7-11, including up to GCSE level, and
lead the improvement of the subject area throughout the school. This role will be based on the main site, within the Pupil Referral Unit.
This is a particularly demanding role and the successful candidate must be committed to creating a positive learning environment no matter what barriers they may face. You will need a high level of resilience, commitment and emotional intelligence to support our vulnerable young people.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of working in a PRU, Alternative Provision, or School and with learners with SEND or Emotional, Behavioural and Mental Health Needs.
- Have a passion for their specific area and achieving high standards in their work and high expectations for behaviour and learning.

- Be flexible, cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.
- Be able and willing to form a positive relationship with pupils in order to support their personal and social development in accordance with the school’s guideline
- Be consistent, calm and a reflective practitioner with a growth mind-set
- Have a high level of attendance & punctuality
