Due to rapid growth and expansion our client has an exciting opportunity to future proof the companies supply chain. The Head of Customer Demand Planning is a new vacancy to lead and develop the implementation of an Integrated Business Planning process combining the introduction of a new MRP module to an existing system.

A key priority of the post will be developing and coaching cross functional teams in accurate forecasting, relaying the importance of this to the business to achieve success while incorporating process improvement initiatives.

Based in North Yorkshire, Harrogate, nr Leeds.

You will:

• Own the Demand Planning & Integrated Business Planning process.

• Partner with internal functions; commercial finance, sales, marketing and supply chain to deliver operational excellence.

• Have a hands-on approach to operations, which is essential, with the ability to communicate at all levels in the business and appreciate day to day issues.

• Be highly adept from a commercial and strategic perspective, with proven experience of identifying and implementing business change.

• Take ownership of forecast program operations and be accountable for daily, weekly, monthly reports rolling out the forecast demand plan taking consideration to promotions, de-list and launch.

• Be innovative and driven to consistently improve and grow the business with all stakeholders

• Own the MRP implementation project ensuring accurate data of critical value chain inputs supports the complexity of the manufacturing and process flow.

Competencies

• A degree in a Business, Engineering or similar discipline.

• Five years’ post graduate experience in Demand Planning.

• An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for robust decision making.

• Experience of developing customer relationships and building collaborative forecasting processes.

• Forecasting system experience (E.g. SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage) & Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot-tables, macros)

• Ideally B2C experience manufacturing experience.

• Be a coach and mentor to the function and wider business.

• An excellent communicator and influencer at all levels of an organisation.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion to succeed and challenge the status quo where value adding.
