Business Development Manager

Salary up to £50K basic + £6K car allowance and excellent commissions

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a dynamic lending business who specialise in bridging finance. The ideal candidate will have previous bridging experience and have worked within property finance.

Key responsibilities for our Business Development Manager

  • Pro actively seeking new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with key clients and professional sector contacts
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our product portfolio
  • Keeping up to date with market changes & competitor analysis
  • Liaising with internal departments to drive initiatives, including Product Design and Marketing
  • Providing performance updates/reports to the Director on a daily/monthly basis
  • Constantly striving to improve service levels by challenging existing processes and practices
  • Ensuring that the pipeline business is proactively managed
  • Representing the Company at trade shows, property auctions and relevant corporate event

  • To identify and pursue new target Intermediaries in the region

  • Assessing each case against our Lending Criteria and work the deal through to successful completion.

Required skills and experience for our Business Development Manager

  • Demonstrable sales and lending experience in the Bridging environment
  • Relevant Market Experience (Bridging experience is essential)
  • An Understanding of the UK bridging finance industry
  • Demonstrate existing working relationships with intermediaries
  • A highly skilled communicator with superior written and presentation skills
  • The ability to work autonomously while being part of a team
  • The talent to innovate and create new products/services
  • The aptitude to work to targets and deadlines
  • Highly commercial and numerate
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility with regards to working patterns - this role will involve travel
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with borrowers and intermediaries within the sector.
  • IT literacy - familiarity with MS Office
