Project Geophysicist – Relocation allowance available
Reynolds International Ltd is a dynamic and fast growing near-surface geological and geophysical consultancy, specialising in near-surface engineering and environmental geophysics, offshore wind farm geophysics, earthquake preparedness and geohazards.
The company has been involved with designing, managing and interpreting some of the most prestigious engineering and environmental geophysics projects, including high profile investigations for offshore wind farm and renewable energy developments around the UK and internationally.
Reynolds International is based in the small market town of Mold, North Wales, which has a thriving high street and is surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With London only a 2-hour train journey away and the bustling cities of Manchester, Liverpool and Chester all within a 45 minutes’ drive of the office, Mold is ideally situated to provide the best of both worlds.
Due to rapid growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Geophysicist to join the highly innovative and expanding team, working predominantly but not exclusively on projects within the land-based environment and engineering sector.
What will I need in order to be considered for this Project Geophysicist vacancy?
* A relevant Geophysics degree to at least MSc level
* Experience of working on a wide variety of projects post-MSc working as a Geophysicist on near-surface, high-resolution environmental and engineering geophysical surveys
* Proficiency in the acquisition, data processing and interpretation of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and seismic data for engineering and environmental applications in the UK
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the English language
* Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CorelDraw
* A valid driving licence and passport
What will I receive in return?
As a Project Geophysicist, you’ll receive an attractive salary in the range of £26,000 to £40,000, level dependent on experience and qualifications. You’ll also be part of a highly innovative and expert team, who will support and encourage your career development. If you are open to relocating for the role, there is a Relocation Allowance available with details to be discussed at interview.
You’ll be employed on a permanent, full time contract working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, with flexibility required to meet business needs. You will predominantly be based within the office in Mold, with frequent travel required across the UK and occasionally internationally.
More about the role: As a Project Geophysicist, your duties will include although not be limited to:
* Preparing technical specifications
* Data processing, analysis, interpretation and reporting
* Supervising geophysical contractors during data acquisition field work and data processing
* Reviewing technical specifications, method statements and contractor data and reports
* Contributing to project management activity
* Participating in the company’s ISO quality management scheme
* Presenting technical results both internally and to clients
* Contributing to research and development activities both in-house and to clients
