Job Title: Health and Social Care Assessor

We are delighted to offer this role as a Trainee or Qualified opportunity – full training will be provided for the successful candidate to achieve the Trainer/Assessor award.

Location: Candidates must be flexible with travel across Buckinghamshire and West London

Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

Essential Criteria:

- Occupational competency in Health and Social Care, within a Residential or Nursing home, domiciliary care or day centre (ideally within a senior or supervisory role).
- Confident to deliver Maths and English Functional Skills to Level 2 (training will be provided)
- Must be flexible with travel and visiting learners outside of the normal 9-5 working hours due to some learners working late shifts.
- Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle.
- Must be flexible with travel.

Duties include:

- Delivering full Apprenticeship Standards in Health and Social Care to levels 2/3 (Level 5 if competent) including Functional Skills (Maths / English) to level 2.
- Visiting/observing learners in their place of work to gather evidence towards their Apprenticeship/QCF qualifications in Health and Social Care.
- Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
- Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
- Support, advise and motivate learners.
- Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Desirable Criteria:

- Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.
- Experience of delivering full Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care levels 2/3, including Functional Skills.
- Health and Social Care Management competency or experience in delivering Level 5.
- Experience of working within a Clinical Care environment.

Personal Skills:

- Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
- Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
