Are you a supervisor with excellent man management skills who is afraid to get your “hands dirty”?

Do you want to work for an expanding company with a great order book and world class product used in the automotive industry?

Are you worried that your company may be adversely affected by Brexit?

If this sounds like you then this role could be just what you are looking for.

Production Supervisor (electro/mechanical)

The Company

You will be working for a company that has invested heavily over the last few years, firstly by moving into a purpose-built factory and then investing in new technology so it’s products can be remotely controlled via wi-fi. They are at the top of their game and with a diverse portfolio of clients from the MOD to marine and automotive sectors you will be working for an expanding company that has 95% of its business in the UK so shouldn’t be affected by any fall-out from Brexit. (unlike much of the automotive sector)

The Role

Reporting to the Ops Director you will be responsible for the smooth running of the workshop including but not limited to:

* Production / capacity planning

* Managing a team of 8 electro/mechanical assemblers by mentoring, training and having a hands-on approach. The team is expanding so you will also be involved in recruiting the right talent for the business.

* Continuous improvements. Working closely with the quality team you will be responsible for implementing production improvements to ensure quality targets are consistently met.

Skills & Experience

As the Production Supervisor you will have:

* Previous management experience in a production / manufacturing environment involved in both electrical and mechanical assembly

* Have an understanding of continuous improvements and lean manufacturing tools such as 5s, 6 sigma, kaizen etc

* Ideally have an understanding of IPC standards

What’s on offer?

In return you will receive:

* a salary of £30,000

* 21 days holiday (+bank holidays) plus the opportunity to earn 6 more through having no sick days

* 7% company pension contributions

Other benefits:

* fantastic work environment in a purpose built facility with free parking

* early finish on Fridays

* work for an expanding business with support from a very large group

How to Apply

If you would like to find out more about the business and this opportunity please apply today – this is such a nice business to work for I don’t expect the role to be vacant for very long.
