Salary: £40,406 - £43,069 DOE plus Bonus + Company Car or Allowance

Our Role

As the Electrical Engineer you will be tasked with working on maintenance and project work delivery for West Sussex County Council. In this role you will manage a team of 12 Electricians working to identify and develop sustainable business opportunities with the planning, design and management of the delivery of associated work projects on a variety of county buildings (schools, library etc).

Working alongside West Sussex Council Engineers, you will provide a supportive and collaborative working environment with internal & external customers, enabling the business to meet and exceed both customer needs and business objectives.

You will be required to provide a consistent workflow and optimise profit contribution to the business, ensuring all safety, quality, technical and commercial requirements are met.

Your Skills and Experience

You will ideally bring an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Building Services or an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and previous experience in working with local authorities is desirable.

Experience of projects from design through to delivery is essential to the overall role as is a comprehensive understanding of technical drawings and a proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including MS Project

You’ll have a professional manner and be dedicated to meeting customer expectations, including demonstrating a strong set of values to match those of the business – Safety, Honesty, Integrity and Customer.

You will have great interpersonal and communication skills, be able to deliver on deadlines.
