Health, Safety and Environment Advisor
Working for a well established and internationally renowned company you will work closely with the SHEQ Manager to support the business and coordinate activities and colleagues in all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental matters. You will need to posses: A Degree in a Health and Safety/Environmental related discipline and/or NEBOSH Diploma level. 5 Years' experience as an SHE professional for a medium to large company Experience of working in a regulated environment and working in compliance with UK legislation. Experience as an internal auditor Desirable Knowledge of ISO9000/ISO14000/OHSAS18000/ISO45001 standards and/or other standards Experience in developing and delivering training Your role: To ensure personal and team safety and to promote a 'Safety First' culture. Ensure the organisation is aware of relevant SHE legislation. Carry out and coordinate activities to ensure continued compliance with all legislation. Coordinate and support colleagues and the organisation in all aspects of Safety, Health and Environmental matters, including day-to-day requirements as well as structural improvement initiatives. Maintain records and report safety performance and accident / near miss data and devise / coordinate programs to address / reduce such occurrences. Support and lead SHE initiatives/projects/trials to improve the company's performance in SHE matters. Coordinate and deliver relevant SHE training for the company. Support the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) activities, including audit follow-up actions, IMS objectives, management review, etc Support the organisation in all external certification matters including internal and external auditing. Support the SHEQ Manager in reviewing and coordinating health management initiatives including exposure monitoring programs and health screening with actions to address findings. Coordinate and improve the company's environmental systems and processes. Work in compliance with Code of Conduct, business ethics, rules and guidelines, in addition to all statutory regulations and laws. Ensure adherence to IT guidelines and ensure that data security, back up and other controls are established and adhered to.
