Looking for an opportunity to be involved in supporting the operation of a local authority frontline service? We have an opportunity for a Housing Support Officer (Assessments) within the Housing Assessment team at Braintree District Council. This is a part time position working hours per week working Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays. Our ideal Housing Support Officer (Assessments) will have the below skills and experience; - Excellent communication skills as you will be constantly dealing with customers, colleagues and staff from partner organisations - A good working knowledge of IT as the service uses a complex IT system - Organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active - Full driving licence and have use of a car - A knowledge of housing issues and previous experience of working in a housing related role would be an advantage, but is not essential as training will be provided.
