Second Line Support Analyst

Our IT department are looking for a 2nd Line Support Analyst to join the Service Desk team. The role has responsibility for the resolution of IT desktop Support issues and the running of our platform operations (CDL). Providing IT support and assistance to around 500 employees you'll ensure the business continues to operate effectively and efficiently, carrying out any escalation processes arising from the 1st Line Support Analysts.

We are offering a starting salary of up to £27,000 - subject to your experience.

Who are you?

We're looking for someone who has carried out a similar role previously. We're looking for someone who has;

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - someone who is confident at interacting with colleagues at all levels
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to think creatively and laterally
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and timescales
- We'll need you to be self-motivated and be able to work on your own initiative
- It would be great if you had experience of contributing to the management of technical change
- If you have experience/an understanding of CDL, Strata, Open GI and Broking Platforms that would be advantageous
- Ideally, you'll hold a Microsoft MCSA certification or equivalent- but this isn't essential
- Demonstrable experience of implementing and troubleshooting the following technologies within a medium sized organisation:

-Microsoft Desktop Technologies and deployment

-Microsoft Windows Desktop Platforms

-Microsoft Office Products

-Microsoft Windows Server

-DELL and HP Hardware platforms

-HP and Canon Printers (Maintenance & Servicing)

This is an interesting and varied role. You'll be responsible for dealing with issues escalated to you from our 1st Line support Analysts, if required escalating these to 3rd parties- all within agreed service levels.

We will need you to contribute to the design and definition of the technical infrastructure environment, optimising service availability, performance, capacity and quality, managing changes and providing incident and problem analysis.

It's important in this role that you build and maintain effective working relationships with all employees, being approachable and professional and acting as a subject matter expert.

To ensure the continuous development of our IT team, you'll be required to contribute to the training and development of your colleagues, mentoring the 1st line service desk analysts as required.

You'll be based at our office in Aust- Brightside Park, Severn Bridge, Aust, Bristol, BS35 4BL. You may need to travel to our offices in Southampton and Torquay occasionally.
