Our client in the Ivybridge area is looking for a part time credit controller on a permanent contract.
Monday - Wednesday 09:00am - 17:00pm (Days are flexible, however a Monday is essential.
Your main duties will include:
* Checking customer’s credit ratings/ working with sales team to approve accounts
* Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments - ensuring customers pay on time
* Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment - Day to Day resolution of account queries.
* Sending monthly invoices to key accounts
* Preparation of statements
* Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices and payments
* Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems
* Management of incoming cheques
* Providing accounts information to internal departments/Directors
* Managing accounting systems – Sage One and Stripe
* Management of the finance side of the brokerage accounts and cardgains buying group.
* Analysis of retailer remittances and allocation of Debit notes as required.
* Implementation of clear debt recovery procedures. Working with sales/ops teams to stop the supply of goods as required and taking the necessary legal steps (if appropriate).
The successful candidate will be:
* Competence in Microsoft Office products, XL and accounting software programmes – in particular Sage One
* Experienced within systems including invoice discounting/online payments systems
* Able to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
* Able to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail
