The Role:

A global nuclear instrumentation and radiation specialist are looking for a proactive Site Manager to oversee the daily activities of their Seascale site.

The office, which provides services for Sellafield, is home to Field Service Engineers and Team Managers.

With around 8 direct reports, strong leadership and management skills will be needed for this position with the ideal candidate proactively looking to provide direction and collaboration between departments.

Reporting into the Director of Services, the key responsibilities will involve:

• Managing relationships with key customers and stakeholders at the site

• Working collaboratively with line managers in Services, Sales and Physics in order to align goals and objectives

• Identifying and addressing issues and ensuring a consistent approach to Sellafield business across the organization.

• Supporting the development and execution of commercial strategies for the Seascale office

• Organize and lead regular progress meetings

• Coordinate local activity through close coordination with sales, business development and services

• Fix priorities of local teams for day to day activities (example: between urgent maintenance requests from different stakeholders).

• Propose and lead improvements to ensure better coordination on site

• Ensure all proposals and work done on site meets SQDC expectations.

• Close liaison with clients to understand evolving QHSE needs (and liaise with QHSE manager to ensure BMS continues to reflect these).

It is vital that the successful candidate has a passion for and a strong background in people management and collaborative working, with this role offering a unique opportunity for somebody to come in and implement their own ideas in order to develop and motivate the workforce of the site.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

• Management experience

• Good awareness of the Nuclear Industry

• Full UK driving licence, held for at least 3 years

• Experience of MS Office and CAD software.

• Experience in team and/or project management.

• Experience in authoring, provision and delivery of customer training.

• Knowledge of risk management of Safety, Quality Assurance, Health, Security & Environment.
