This small community based Primary School based in Brentwood - Essex is looking to appoint two Graduate Teaching Assistants. Each year the school works closely with EduStaff to build a small team of Graduate Teaching Assistant support staff to work alongside their support team. As a graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be afforded the opportunity to grow and develop throughout the academic year mastering the teaching assistant role and building the knowledge and skills that will set you up for success with your future teacher training.
This is the lead Primary School of a small federation that really embraces the nurture and development of Graduate Teaching Assistants that are on a pathway into teaching.

As Year 2 Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be tasked with supporting the class teacher and providing high levels of academic tuition to small groups of students of varying abilities both in and out of the class. You will gain experience supporting special educational needs and after mastering the teaching assistant mantle you will build your responsibilities up to helping with planning and delivering lessons.

To be considered for this Year 2 Graduate Teaching Assistant role you will need an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or higher. School experience is not essential but some experience supporting children will hold you in good stead.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a Psychology Graduate interested in pursuing a career in Educational or Clinical Psychology.
