The client is an established and award winning marketing agency, servicing an enviable and eclectic client base which includes many household name brands. They are full-service and work across traditional and digital media, with activities encompassing print, websites, social media, video, email, direct mail, TV, radio, communications and events.
This is a newly created role and will lead, manage and develop a key relationship with the Company’s biggest client, with fees across the complete mix, of over £1m. It calls for an experienced Account Management professional who is an adept influencer and developer and who possesses a successful track record of delivering and growing client revenues. They require an individual to spend half their time embedded within the client, a major UK enterprise, and half managing project teams within the Agencies offices.
As a key member of the leadership team this role will be involved in strategic as well as operational activities. The client will demand a high quality of output and creative skills, and projects will need to be delivered on time and to budget. The AD will be required to have good commercial skills, looking for areas to increase their involvement and footprint, and understand budgets. This will entail advising the client, taking briefs, developing project plans, creation of time-lines and internal briefs, manage and coordinate external suppliers, ensure project management systems are utilised effectively, and that client expectations are managed appropriately throughout.
The role would suit a candidate with integrated agency-based account management experience. You must be comfortable managing senior relationships within a blue chip environment, be a good communicator and be able to build relationships. You will be a natural negotiator, and have strong organisational and planning skills. You need to be comfortable across print and digital activities, and need to be adept at managing a number of concurrent projects, multitasking and prioritising appropriately.
