Accountant - Reporting to Finance Manager

Monday - Thursday 8.15 am - 5 .00pm
Friday 8.00 am - 1.15 pm

Hydrokem Aerosols Limited is an aerosol contract manufacturing company based in Birkenhead and is part of the CliniMed group.

You will be employed by Hydrokem Aerosols Limited, replacing an existing role made vacant due to retirement.

The key responsibilities will consist of the following:

  • Ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions

  • Timely preparation & Analysis of monthly management accounts with variance reports

  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts in conjunction with our auditors

  • Submission of monthly & quarterly VAT detail to HMRC and other regulatory reports (eg. ONS)

  • Preparation of monthly & weekly cash forecasts/reports

  • Provision of monthly performance data relating to factory operations

  • Assist Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual budget for Hydrokem Aerosols

  • To manage the banking function

  • Manage payments to all the company’s creditors and maintain appropriate checks and records

  • Assist the Finance Manager in the co-ordination and management of IT systems used by Hydrokem.

  • Management of 1 accounts assistant

  • Any other duties as may be required to fulfil the responsibility of this role.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified/QBE Accountant, but would also consider those studying for an accountancy qualification

  • Ability to prioritise, plan organise workload and work to deadlines

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Local to Birkenhead or willing to travel / relocate.
