Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Worcester
Duration: Permanent

As the organisation is located in Warndon- Worcester, you have the chance to miss the heavy traffic coming in and going out of the city. Easily commutable from Kidderminster, Tewkesbury, Redditch , Droitwich Spa and surrounding areas. You will be reporting to the Group Financial Accountant and will be responsible for assisting the Finance Team where possible.

Responsibilities will include: ??

- Carrying out month end closing processes/routines to ensure accuracy of our results to Trial Balance level including calculation and posting of journal entries.
- Review of key nominal ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. Review of any recurring costs and ad hoc cash book analysis
- Review of latest purchases and supplier invoices for preparation of Accruals, Prepayments or Capital postings as necessary.
- Completion of month end Balance Sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances.
- Intercompany postings
- Review of various information sources to collate and calculate data to be used in Invoicing.
- Assist the invoicing team to ensure timely billing and analysis of Revenue.
- Banking duties - including posting/allocation of cash, setting up bank payments for Customers, bank reconciliations
- Preparation of Monthly cash-flow forecast
- Cover for purchase ledger for peaks in workload and absence
- Other Ad Hoc duties including providing cover for other members of the team during holidays.
- Supporting team objectives and deadlines as required to ensure we meet our obligations to Customers and Colleagues.

Skills you need to succeed
The right candidate will be someone who has:

- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at Grade C or above (essential).
- AAT at Level 2 or above (desirable)

Experience

- PC literate with good working knowledge of Excel
- Previous experience of working with a CRM/ERP system such as SAP
- Previous experience in a dynamic, fast paced Finance team
