This role involves having responsibility for offering Care in accordance with the practices and procedures of the Company to Service Users whose needs have been assessed as needing care within their home. Duties will include personal care, domestic duties and social duties as required, aimed at creating a supportive homely atmosphere where Service Users can achieve independence whilst maintain their dignity within their own environment. All staff are expected to meet regulatory training standards This role will require you to obtain an Enhanced satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service formally known as the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure Desirable Skills NVQ/QCF Level 2 or equivalent Previous experience as a care worker or as an unpaid carer Knowledge of how to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures Working knowledge of health and safety matters relating to home care Full drivers licence - No more than 6 penalty points About Company We are a prominent care provider in Luton and while we care mainly for elderly people within the community, we also look after people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory disabilities, mental health problems and families whose children require support.
