IT Support Engineer (1st / 2nd Line)

As a preferred and trusted PSL recruitment partner to this innovative market leader, we have been asked to assist in the recruitment of a permanent 1st/2nd Line IS Support Engineer. Making up part of the internal IS department, this role will ensure that issues and requests are resolved for all divisions within the company group.

This is a rewarding opportunity that will provide you with the opportunity to gain exposure to many technologies (including MS Windows, Cisco Networking, VMWare, Azure and other cloud-based solutions) and develop your skills further within the IT Support field. This role will assist in the smooth running of the business and will help to maintain the infrastructure to support 1800 staff.

Key Skills / Requirements / Experience
-Experienced in 1st Line / 2nd Line Technical Support
-Microsoft Windows OS Support (ideally including Windows 10)
-Microsoft Server OS Support (ideally Server 2012 R2 onwards)
-Microsoft Office Support (ideally 2013, 2016, Office 365)
-Printing / Print Server Maintenance
-Hardware Troubleshooting
-Enterprise Wireless Technology
-Networking Principles (TCP/IP)
-File Share and DFS (Distributed File System)
-Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
-Telecom Maintenance - VOIP
-Backup and Recovery

The following certifications would be highly advantageous, but are not essential; MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+ / CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation.
