Accounts Semi Senior / Senior - Our client are a small friendly accountancy business established in 1995, offering a comprehensive range of accounting and taxation services. They are now looking for an Accounts Semi Senior / Senior to join their friendly team based in St. Neots (Cambridge), on a full-time permanent basis. The role can be flexible to suit a newly qualified AAT candidate up to fully ACCA qualified. They are mainly looking for someone who is enthusiastic and keen to learn and progress with good core accountancy and organisational skills. In return they are offering between £22,000 to £32,000 depending on experience and qualifications. You will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of areas with one-to-one training with senior staff. You will also be offered study support with continuing your studies to ACCA if applicable and the opportunity for the right candidate to progress into a more senior role in the firm. As Accounts Semi Senior / Senior your responsibilities will include: Bookkeeping & VAT Returns Entering from sales and purchase invoices using Sage line 50, Quickbooks and other accounting packages. Assisting junior staff with data entry and reviewing work. Reconciling sales and purchase ledger, bank accounts and factoring statements. Running month end reports and reviewing adjustments / reclassifications. Balance sheet controls. Accounts and tax return preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Analysing expenses and checking business expenses to invoices. Reconciling VAT, PAYE and CIS records. Agreeing trade debtors and trade creditor balances at year end. Preparing rental statements, investment schedules and personal tax returns. Advising clients on tax planning/ VAT schemes Requirements: For candidates with experience or training in the field, you will hold or be working toward completing a qualification from the AAT or ACCA. Other qualities required: Confident communication skills both over the telephone and face-to-face. Be able to work well as part of a team. Be organised and have excellent time management. Have a keen interest in accountancy and tax and have the want to help clients. This is a full-time permanent role with office hours of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
