Finance Manager Purchase to Pay / General Ledger
Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Finance Manager (Purchase / General Ledger for a large global business based in Sheffield.
Responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and approving all Purchase to Pay and General Ledger process changes, ensuring that all changes are tested, trained and communicated effectively
Implementing and maintaining a Purchase to Pay and General Ledger governance and controls framework to monitor, assure and improve process quality, effectiveness and compliance
Establishing effective working relationships with the GSC Purchase to Pay and General Ledger team to improve controls and process effectiveness
Working with the GSC Purchase to Pay and General Ledger teams to improve team capability and efficiency that will support further migration and transition of local services into the GSC.
Working with local finance teams to ensure international Purchase to Pay and General Ledger delivery is consistent and to facilitate further service migrations to the GSC.
Reviewing and approving all changes to the Concur contract through the agreed contract change control mechanism
Working closely with the Concur Invoice and Expenses projects to ensure that new deployments are delivered appropriately.
Providing the lead for all auditor Purchase to Pay and General Ledger requests and queries.
Acting as Purchase to Pay lead on all firmwide projects that impact Purchase to Pay processes.
Working closely with other process owners and internal business support groups.
Developing and delivering Purchase to Pay business training and awareness programmes to improve end user understanding of the end to end Purchase to Pay process.
Provide operational input to the project for next generation practice management system when appropriate.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Previous experience is essential
You must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
You will be a self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a virtual team, and has a strong client service orientation.
You must have an understanding or process management and improvement methodologies and experience of delivering projects and service improvement initiatives.
Experience of transitioning services into shared service centres is desirable.
Strong coaching, counselling and training skills and the ability to lead a virtual team successfully is essential.
