The role is based at our Milton Park office, OX14 4SB.

Digital Platforms, which sits as a business unit within RM Education, provides software offerings to the education sector including Online Safety, User Access Management, Finance and Management Information Systems – all of which are designed to ultimately make schools better.
We have a fast-paced, start-up atmosphere within the teams, and this role presents an opportunity to join us whilst we are still in the relatively early and emerging phase within RM Education, where your actions and ideas can really have an impact.
Within Digital Platforms, the Account Management Team performs the pivotal role of looking after our current customers, answering queries and solving problems, developing their accounts through upsell and cross-sell and ensuring customer renewal periods are seamlessly passed through and won.
This role offers the opportunity to join the Digital Platforms Account Management Team as an Apprentice Account Coordinator, working at an extremely exciting time where we are challenging previous thinking around technology in education and the impact it has in schools. This role will be pivotal in the success of the ambitious growth plans set, both from the perspective of ensuring customers are happy and are renewing, but also in taking responsibility for a wide variety of duties early-on, enabling the senior Account Managers in post to target their key customers.
You will have the opportunity to work in fast-paced environment with a variety of software products, handling inbound queries and requests, problem solving and troubleshooting, walking customers through renewals, organise quotations and handle marketing newsletters, amongst other duties. In time, you may also be asked to attend events to represent RM Education and Digital Platforms, where you can meet your customers and be the face of the company.
You will sit under a more experienced Account Manager who will be on-hand to train, guide and manage you from day one, and you will work in tangent with them and their current customers. In time, it’s expected that you will take on responsibility to manage some of these customers independently.
There will also be opportunities to progress for the right individuals, taking on more responsibility and working more independently, with the potential to learn more about upsell and cross-sell and how to develop your accounts.

ResponsibilitiesSupports the Account Management Team in their various day-to-day tasks, including working through and passing on queries that come into the Queries Inbox, handling renewal enquiries and problem-solving with customers. Manage the Digital Platforms Bronze customer base in time, initially taking on some responsibility, with the view of fully managing several months into the role. Learning about both the Education Sector and the numerous software products that sit within Digital Platforms to a strong degree, with the view of being able to answer questions independently from customers as soon as able. Work alongside other team members of Digital Platforms and RM Education, including colleagues based internationally, to successfully co-ordinate and complete goals and projects. Flexible in role so as to face any new challenges and tasks that can present themselves in an evolving and ever-fluid work environment.

Desired qualification requirements:
3 x GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject, plus GCSE English and Maths (or equivalents) at grade D or above.
Working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday with core business hours being 8.30am-5pm. Flexi start may be possible with this role.
As an apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent with an approved training provider at a local training centre.
A starting salary of a minimum of £13,000 per annum, plus benefits.
