The role is based at our Milton Park office, OX14 4SB.

You will have the challenges of a real job, but with the support of a passionate and talented team in Digital Platforms and RM Education as a whole.

You’ll get a great insight into how the business works, how to deal with customers, balance workloads etc. – all whilst earning a salary and learning key skills and knowledge that will drive you forward in your career.

Digital Platforms, which sits as a business unit within RM Education, provides software offerings to the education sector including Online Safety, User Access Management, Finance and Management Information Systems – all of which are designed to ultimately make schools better.

We have a fast-paced, start-up atmosphere within the teams, and this role presents an opportunity to join us whilst we are still in the relatively early and emerging phase within RM Education, where your actions and ideas can really have an impact.

Within Digital Platforms, the Account Management Team performs the pivotal role of looking after our current customers, answering queries and solving problems, developing their accounts through upsell and cross-sell and ensuring customer renewal periods are seamlessly passed through and won.

This role offers the opportunity to join the Digital Platforms Account Management Team as an Apprentice Account Coordinator, working at an extremely exciting time where we are challenging previous thinking around technology in education and the impact it has in schools. This role will be pivotal in the success of the ambitious growth plans set, both from the perspective of ensuring customers are happy and are renewing, but also in taking responsibility for a wide variety of duties early-on, enabling the senior Account Managers in post to target their key customers.

You will have the opportunity to work in fast-paced environment with a variety of software products, handling inbound queries and requests, problem solving and troubleshooting, walking customers through renewals, organise quotations and handle marketing newsletters, amongst other duties. In time, you may also be asked to attend events to represent RM Education and Digital Platforms, where you can meet your customers and be the face of the company.

You will sit under a more experienced Account Manager who will be on-hand to train, guide and manage you from day one, and you will work in tangent with them and their current customers. In time, it’s expected that you will take on responsibility to manage some of these customers independently.

There will also be opportunities to progress for the right individuals, taking on more responsibility and working more independently, with the potential to learn more about upsell and cross-sell and how to develop your accounts.

Within this role, you’ll have the challenges of a real job, but with the support of a passionate and talented team in Digital Platforms and RM Education as a whole, alongside continuing your learning with a training provider at a local training centre. You’ll get a great insight into how the business works, how to deal with customers, balance workloads etc. – all whilst earning a salary and learning key skills and knowledge that will drive you forward in your career.
