The Trust was formally set up on 1st June 2016 with the aim of building on the solid foundation established by the previous PRU. They operate from at least twelve different locations within Devon and Cornwall which provides education and support services throughout the community to support pupils to access education in schools, community centres, medical facilities or their own homes.

As a Pastoral Lead, you will be supportive and will play a large part in pastoral management of the pupils attending the academy, and supporting families to parent their children. You will be dealing with pupils with a wide range of SEND needs, including Autistic Spectrum conditions, emotional and communication needs. Communication with parents, schools, staff and multi-agency partners is a major part of the role. You will also be one of the school's Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

Skills & Experience:
- Educated to degree level.
- GCSE (A*-C) in English and (A*-C) in mathematics or equivalent Knowledge of relevant procedures and practices
- Knowledge of Special Education Needs code of Practice, Child Protection Procedures, keeping children safe in Education 2018
- Level 3 multi-agency Safeguarding training such as Hidden Harm, Child Sexual Exploitation etc.
- National Standards for teachers followed.
- Complex and difficult decisions may need to be made regarding pupil's welfare and referral to other agencies, these decisions can have significant consequences on families, children and the school.

Permanent Contract

This School is based at Charlton Lodge, Tiverton, EX16. Currently in the construction and refurbishment stages, the school will be ready for September 2019.
