This company, together with their other well known property group, specialise in property development, property lettings and property management - operating throughout the UK.

The Purchase Ledger Assistant will be involved with the day to day running of the accounts department, duties include and not limited to; matching invoices and PO's, posting invoices into Sage/Propman, nominal management to ensure expenditure is correctly recorded, dealing with supplier queries and account reconciliations. The role will also involve liaising with staff and suppliers to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

- Matching PO's to invoices and proactively raising queries if they do not match.
- Posting high volumes of supplier invoices and allocating to nominals/expense codes.
- Handling queries from suppliers and internal staff.
- Liaising with the property managers to prioritise payments.
- Prepare invoices and expenses for payment runs.
- Managing prepayment cards and reconciliations
- Assist with year-end processes, cross checking invoices and receipts are correctly recorded.
- General admin duties, filing and ensuring accounts records are maintained.

Knowledge and Experience:
- 1-2 years' experience within a similar accounts role
- General knowledge of accounts processes essential
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications
- Sage line 50 experience preferred

Studying towards AAT

Key Skills:
- Microsoft office essential
- Understanding of excel formulas
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Personally effective - excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Ability to problem solve and handle difficult situations with suppliers
- Great attention to detail and diligent working practices
