Finance Assistant Immediate Start
Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working along side a fantastic employer based in the North of Edinburgh centre. The business is seeking to recruit an experienced finance assistant to join there well established accounts function on a interim basis initially. The role is available due to a member of the team retiring and a small internal restructure.
As Finance Assistant your key responsibilities will include but not be restricted to:
- Sales Ledger - processing BACS or cheque receipts, checking & raising sales invoices. Dealing with all sales ledger enquiries. Maintaining the sales ledgers and ensuring an accurate customer list and outstanding balances and the reconciliation of credit bank transactions.
- Purchase Ledger - processing invoices for onward transfer to approvers authorisation and coding. Dealing with suppliers’ queries.
- Credit Control - Liaising with project managers to pursue collection of bad debts.
- Nominal Ledger - journal processing which includes mileage of pool cars, franking and Vodafone invoices or internal audit as required.
