Our rapidly expanding client is currently on the lookout for a Printing Equipment Installation Technician to join their team based in Wimborne.

About The Role:

The main purpose of your role will be to provide clients with a class leading Technical Installation, Moves and Changes service for new and existing hardware (printing) products.

You will also carry out Hardware pre-delivery inspections, machine deliveries and installations, machine relocations and machine collections in a timely and professional manner.

Duties will include: -

* Pre-delivery inspection of new hardware in careful adherence to the (PDI) Pre-delivery Inspection instructions issued

* Careful and safe loading of the company vans

* Responsible driving of the company vans

* Physically locating the new machines on the customer premises

* Safe and considered use of appropriate lifting equipment to complete the installation / removal

* Removal of incumbent devices as required and the salvage of all possible toners and consumables from customer site

* IT installation of devices, training and support.

* Removal of all packaging and waste and ensuring the customer premises are left clean and tidy

* To treat the customer with courtesy and politeness at all times and appear positive and helpful in all situations

* Assisting in the workshop with assembling, moving, picking or cleaning machines

* Ensuring all paperwork is properly completed, signed and returned as appropriate.

* To assist the Service Delivery Manager with all other tasks he may reasonably require fulfilling the objectives of the team.

Candidate Requirements:

* At least 3 years technical logistics experience. Safe manual handling experience and in the use of mechanical lifting equipment

* A comprehensive understanding of the pre-delivery inspection process and the set-up and operation of equipment

* Skills in configuration and programming of hardware (printers / photocopiers)

* Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and self-motivate combined with good communication and customer relationship skills

* Knowledge of Networking and driver loading would be advantageous

* Installation of print management software and fleet management monitoring software would be beneficial

* Clean driving licence and ideally some knowledge of basic printer / photocopier processes
