Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with an expanding business in Lancashire to recruit an experienced IT Manager.

Reporting into the Managing Director you will have responsibility for ensuring the effective running of the IT function. You will have two direct reports.

Responsibilities

* Effectively manage the work of the IT Support Engineers (2)

* Communicate effectively with Directors, managers and employees of the Company

* Delivery of IT services to the internal BMS customer

* Manage 1st line technical support on BMS applications and services

* Support and offer clear first line advice to internal customers to ensure timely and effective resolution

* Work with other departments to support and communicate key IT initiatives

* Deliver service excellence and display strong internal customer service ethos

* Support and advise the CEO on the strategic direction of the IT Function

* Managing all external IT and telephony suppliers on a daily basis

* Maintaining all IT systems, software, user admin, printers and the telecommunications infrastructure

* Monitoring and maintaining the Mitrefinch time and attendance system

* The compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software

* Daily management of the EPOS system

* Management and monitoring of the anti-virus system

* Testing and maintaining audits of all till spares

* Installing, maintaining and administering all hardware at Head office and stores

* The compilation of the support centre technical documentation, guidelines and procedures

* Collate data effectively to measure effectiveness of function in meeting organisational priorities

* Continually seek to identify ways to improve, challenging current practice and suggesting a better way.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

* People management skills

* Broad technical skills and interest (operational experience/retailing)

* Proven track record of Information Management experience and operations control

* Understanding of customers' needs

* Experience of Microsoft suite: Server, Active Directory, MSSQL, Microsoft Office and Excel

* Experience in maintaining a TCP/IP network (HP Procurve hardware)

* EPOS system management

* Experience in project implementation and management

* Ability and enthusiasm for UK travel
