Product Marketing Executive

Job overview:

* To be the conduit between vendor and the company on all product pricing and availability related activities.

Job function:

Price Lists:

* Maintain up to date cost price lists from all vendors

* Prepare price lists data for uploading to SAP correctly

* Create, maintain and distribute all dealer price lists for internal and web use

* Ensure all tariff/commodity codes for imported products are updated and accurate

* Keep sales and marketing notified of pricing changes

New Products:

* Liaise with vendors when new products are announced

* Liaise with technical team to evaluate and approve new products from existing vendors

* Ensure all price lists are updated with new products and loaded on SAP correctly

* Liaise with vendors to arrange training/introduction of new products to tech and sales

* Liaise with marketing team to enable a campaign for new products (as required)

* Ensure all new products are added to website with correct descriptions, associated products and alternatives

* Arrange meeting with senior management team to ascertain stocking levels of new products

* Liaise with technical to integrate new products into demonstration facilities (as required)

Product discontinuation - as notified:

* Check stock in all available depots

* Email senior management team with stock per depot to make decision with regard to disposing of current stock

* Notify logistics to zero all re-order levels of discontinued stock

* Notify marketing to remove from website

* Remove from price list

* Label as discontinued on SAP

* Email all staff of discontinuance and plans for current stock

Clearance, slow moving, discontinued… 'Companies Outlet’:

* Maintain and distribute 'Company Outlet’ price lists (A &B)


* Compile and maintain competitive analysis of Tier 1 & 2 vendor products

* Compile and maintain competitive analysis of significant new vendor products


* Monitor stock levels and ageing of all products

* Develop and maintain a process for rotating aged stock (age to be determined by vendor)

* Ensure product sold as alternatives are recorded for consideration when re-ordering

* Prepare appropriate paperwork to ensure product availability for events

* Ensure product used for events is returned to stock, as appropriate
