Assistant Company Secretary job based in the North West for a corporate governance and compliance specialist

This well regarded organisation with a strong business model and track record for success, is continually looking at improvements and efficiencies and as such is recruiting for a strong ICSA qualified or part-qualified Governance Manager to work in a varied company secretarial role.
Your new role
You will report into the Group Company Secretary and will be responsible for a range of company secretarial duties including high quality board support, preparation for committee meetings, statutory compliance, project management and implementation as well as deputising for the Company Secretary.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have working knowledge of governance principles and a strong understanding of company law and best practice in a commercial environment. You will have some managerial or supervisory experience with a great attitude to working under pressure and leading by example. You will need to have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills as you will be engaging with senior management and key stakeholders. Ideally you will be either ICSA qualified or looking to become ICSA qualified.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000 depending on your skills, qualifications and experience and you'll enjoy working in a key role with opportunities for further progression. There is also an attractive benefits package including flexible working hours.
